The Ontario Northland Pensioners Association (ONPA) was formed approximately 14 years ago. At the annual general meeting in May 2013 several new members were elected to the executive. Members of the executive are listed below.
If you are currently not a member of the Association , we extend a cordial invitation for you to join. If you are a member , please feel free to extend an invitation to other pensioners you know who might want to join. At $10 per year or $ 20 for 3 years, the membership dues are certainly not high.
The aim and objective of the Association is to keep current and keep members informed of possible issues affecting pensions and benefits and to keep in touch, as much as we can, with fellow retirees.
We are attempting to open the lines of communication between pensioners and the company by offering constructive input to the transformation of ONTC. A sustainable corporation is the best protection we have for protecting our pensions well into the future.
If you would like to contribute to this process, or just stay informed about our activities, please consider joining our Association. Through strength in numbers we can be an effective voice. For more information please send an email to ONPABoard@outlook.com or contact any Board member. (contact info on the “About” page)
The politicians have assured us that we have nothing to worry about. The Association continues to be vigilant on this front. We have a vested interest and we are one of the key stakeholders. We are staying on top of this issue and will try to keep pensioners informed of any developments.
We look forward to seeing you at our next general meeting in May 2014.
